Christian Witnessing

Jesus Christ gave us the Great Commission; that we should go out unto all the world and make disciples of all the nations. Witnessing by itself isn't difficult since all you're doing is just telling people what happened to you, but it can be difficult to start the conversation, and many don't know where to go after they do. There are many ways to share Christ with others, with the The Roman Road, the ABC's of witnessing (Admit, Believe, Confess), and the FAITH acronym being only a few tools to help. Links to these are below, along with an example of a sinner's prayer. One of the most important things to remember about witnessing is to read God's Word daily. Have a quiet time each day. Morning is good, as you're tired in the evening, and it's easy to put it off. Talk to God, read the Bible, and learn what He has to say to you. The most important thing to say when witnessing to another? The difference Jesus made in your life. If you're asked something you don't know, don't be afraid to tell them so. Find out the answer and get back to them. You probably don't have all the answers, and neither does anyone else other than Jesus Christ. God loves that person as much as He does you and me.

The Romans Road - Also called the Roman Road, this method of witnessing shows others God's love using the Book of Romans.

The ABC's of Witnessing - The ABC's of Witnessing, consisting of admit, believe, and confess, is a simple, easy to remember way to share your faith.

FAITH - The FAITH acronym is another way to witness to others.

Christian Apologetics

1 Peter 3:15 says "but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence;" The term apologetics doesn't mean we need to apologize for being Christians, it comes from the Greek word Apologia, meaning to defend against attack.
